I had my first driving lesson with Jackie Hewess in September 2024. As a 57 year old who had failed a few driving tests with different instructors over the years, mainly, I feel, due to anxiety and confidence issues, I had decided that this would be my final attempt at passing. I felt at ease from that very first lesson. Jackie was always friendly, calm and supportive. During our weekly lessons my confidence just grew. She explained things in a way that I understood and tailored each lesson to suit my needs perfectly. Manoeuvres that I simply couldn't get right before, I mastered, even down to the parallel park! In between my lessons I used the LDC workbook to consolidate what I had learnt in my practical lessons. I passed my practical driving test in February 2025. Thank you Jackie for your patience, skill and ability to enable me to overcome my nerves and to not overthink my mistakes. I will miss our lessons.
