Andy is a brilliant driving instructor. His teaching is clear, constructive and always progressive which has enabled me to move on in a structured manner with my driving. Andy communicated excellently, explaining what he wanted me to do and why, which has not only enabled me to drive but also to develop an awareness and consideration of all other road users. Andy kept notes of each lesson so there was no guessing as to what we did last time and what needs further work. Each lesson was planned and discussed to focus on what I felt I needed more practice with and what Andy knew I was struggling with. Lessons were kept on track and never allowed to drift. As an older learner I really wanted an instructor who would teach me at my pace. Andy is an LDC ( Learner Driving Centre ) instructor which uses a structured system of teaching . This includes a LDC workbook and app which I found helpful to refer back to between lessons. The method allows you to see exactly where you are on your learning to drive journey and helps to prepare for the next step. Andy is patient and calm and his coaching skills are evident as he is able to pick up on any minor things early which could later become an issue. At times I felt anxious about driving especially on busier roads but Andy talked me through the anxiety, gradually building my skills and therefore confidence. I’m over the moon to have passed my test today, first time and with no faults - there’s no doubt this is due to Andy’s excellent teaching. Thanks Andy, I couldn’t appreciate it more.
