Over the past few weeks prior to my test in November, I was lucky enough to receive lessons from Dean. In a short space of time he ensured that I was fully aware of exactly what examiners would be looking for in a good driver who could pass their test, which ultimately he made me into. Before having lessons with Dean, my technique wasn’t to the standard of a driver who could pass their test, just one example of an area in which Dean helped me with was steering. He ensured that I was confident steering in a more controlled manor and got me into good habits which would mean I was safer to drive on the roads independently once passed. The method by which he taught me meant we would regularly pause and he would explain and demonstrate any corrections that needed to be made. On top of this he was never hesitant to let me know when I was doing something well which was great confidence wise. Not only this but he was an exemplary teacher for several other reasons, he has a calm and patient demeanour which allowed for a good environment to learn in and be able to ask questions, which he also did not hesitate to do. He knew all traffic rules and had them nailed down to a tee which really helped instilling good learning habits. Finally, all lessons were well tailored to my specific driving needs to ensure that I was ready to pass my test and made sure that I grasped challenging situations effectively.
