I had a long and complicated driving history - 2 failed tests, 2 instructors and dozens of hours of lessons. Was getting demotivated and didn’t know how to progress. Was recommended Gary by family who had been taught by him. Gary has a very laid back approach that made me way more relaxed behind the wheel. He focuses a lot on mentality as well as driving ability - which was a big deal for me because I was putting a lot of pressure on myself after failing before. By the test day I felt way more relaxed and passed easily with just 1 minor fault! When it comes to his teaching methods he was really flexible and adapted to what worked well for me. He didn’t just teach me rigid techniques that only work in perfect situations, but got me to do what felt intuitive, and then told me how I could improve from there. Since I’ve passed and started driving I’ve got to say; the things I’ve learned in Garys lessons are great for the test, but they’re even more useful once I started driving. I feel confident and adaptable behind the wheel - which I could never have imagined a month ago! On top of that he’s an all round great guy, always friendly and easy to talk to. Always looked forward to my lessons. Fantastic driving instructor, I’d recommend him to anybody.
