I think the key to not only passing your driving test but also to becoming a competent driver is finding the right instructor that suits your learning style and Phil definitely ticked that box for me! From the word go, he took the time to understand the areas that I needed to work on by encouraging me to lead the content of the lesson and gave me the confidence to believe in my abilities as a driver. Phil likes thinking outside of the box as an instructor so instead of giving you complicated formulas to follow when doing manoeuvres, he'll get you reversing in a figure of 8 around a car park until you start to develop your own awareness and judgement, which I have found invaluable. I think driving lessons can be turned into quite a stressful experience but I can honestly say that I actually looked forward to my lessons! Phil is a fantastic instructor and a lovely person to get to know and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to not just pass a test but become a good driver! Thanks for all your help Phil!
