Having been offered a new job which would involve lots of travelling, I realised it was finally time to learn how to drive. I rang Phil to discuss semi- intensive lessons and he was able to fit me in for evening lessons. Phil encouraged me to sit my theory test as soon as possible, so by my first lesson I had this ready and we were able to book the test date to work towards. The lessons with Phil were really enjoyable- conversation flowed easily and I immediately felt at ease. His approach to teaching ensures that you learn how to drive, and not just how to pass the test, which is important as the skills he taught are transferable to any situation. With each lesson I really felt I had progressed, and came away happy that I had achieved something. Phil was keen for input and if I wanted to revisit a particular manoeuvre or practice he was more than happy to incorporate that into the lesson. He has a folder of diagrams and road aerial views which are really useful as when you are talking about a particular junction or manoeuvre, as he can show you and describe it using the pictures. Phil sits in on a lot of the practical driving tests and this is great because he really knows the test process well, so when it came to my test, I wasn't as nervous, and managed to pass first time!
